Soft Touch is woven by Glodina in Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal, from 100% combed cotton spun into zero-twist yarn. Combing takes out the short fibres, and leaving the yarn untwisted lets the loops stand open, so the pile feels plush and cloud-like against the skin instead of ropey. At 710 GSM it is a heavy, full-bodied towel that takes up water quickly, and the construction holds its softness, strength and absorbency wash after wash. The dyes are highly colourfast, so the shade stays true through repeated washing, and a Silverplus antimicrobial finish inhibits odour-causing bacteria and stays active for more than 40 washes, so even a towel this size, which takes longer to dry, keeps smelling fresh between laundry days.
